Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island shortly before the end of her final year of junior high school. Her siblings include two younger ones and an older brother. The modeling profession was her first experience in the industry. The model was employed from the age of 9 to 16. Ron Stetson trained her in the acting techniques of Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse. It took around three years. Other actors to receive such training are Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, as well as others. Her first performance came with Beverly Hills 90210.
